I live and work in New York while my family is in Vermont. So, whenever I get time or during vacations, I simply book my flight tickets and visit my family to spend some quality time with them. Previously, I used to travel by road but it was not less than a headache. And one day, on the recommendations of my dad, I did Allegiant Airlines reservations.
I am glad that my dad suggested this as traveling from my current location to my hometown has never been so easy. This airline is my dad’s personal favorite and the reasons are quite obvious. The airline offers easy flight booking, flexible and passenger-friendly policies, top-quality services, etc. to make every trip enjoyable and memorable.
Apart from this, one thing that grabbed my attention is the check-in options offered by them. If you are also planning to fly within the country, then you must read out the following:
How to Check-in For Allegiant Flights?
Being a customer-centric airline in the country, they make every possible effort to offer easy and convenient services to its travelers. And when it comes to check-in (for me, it is one of the best things about traveling in Allegiant Air), they have the following methods:
- Online check-in
- Mobile check-in
- Airport or ticket counter check-in
Check-In Time Limit for an Allegiant Air Flight
The recommended time to visit the airport is at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure of the flight. It is for those who want to check-in at the airport counter. And for online and mobile check-in limit is 45 minutes before the scheduled departure. You should note down that the airline may cancel your Allegiant Airlines reservation at any time if you fail to comply with the limits of check-in.
In my opinion, the ease of check-in is quite an important aspect. So, look at the following to learn more about the check-in methods you will get with Allegiant Air:
Online Check-In: The online check-in window opens 24 hours before and closes 45 minutes before the scheduled departure of the flight. To do Allegiant Air online check-in, you will need to provide first and last name as well as the Confirmation Number. The airline never overbooks flights intentionally. So, you can pay a nominal fee of $0 to $75 and choose your seat at the time of ticket booking. In case, you do not want to choose your seat or unable to do so, then you will be assigned a seat automatically during online check-in at no cost. In addition to this, you can also validate your bags or/and extra baggage during check-in. The airline also offers easy to pay option for baggage, checked or carry-on baggage before reaching the airport.
Mobile Check-In: This facility is available for selected routes/airports. By using this facility, you will get the following:
- Access to all your future trips
- Reserve bags and seats
- Priority boarding
- Easy check-in
- Access to the mobile boarding pass
- Easy tracking of all your ‘purchased deals’
- Easy redemption of purchased deals
Airport or Counter Check-In: Now all travelers are tech-savvy, some of them (maybe with or without traveling with pets or special needs) like the traditional methods to do check-in. Hence, airport check-in is available for them. However, you will need to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure. And for successful check-in at the counter, you will need to show your ticket, confirmation number, a government-issued ID card with a photo. Every passenger including minors between 15-17 years of age will have to present their photo ID card if they are traveling alone.
Allegiant Airlines Boarding
Last time, I opted for airport check-in. So, I reached the gate around 1 hour before the actual departure. But I would like to tell you one thing that the airline has the right to cancel your booking if you fail to arrive at the ‘boarding’ gate 30 minutes before the scheduled departure (unfortunately, I have missed my flight once, but you should. So reach the airport on or before the time). However, you should call the Allegiant Airlines phone number (+1-855-635-3038) before booking your flights to understand every policy and avoid unnecessary issues later.
